Now that I am thinking about it, with the objective cover I have, I don't know if it will come off to attach a Doubler. Bearclaw, do you know if there is a new lens cover now? I'll have to go home and look at mine, it just seem like it was on there really good if not permanently attached.
It will take finaglin, but it will come off unless anything has changed since Decembers shipment.

I don't know. I just tried and I'm not comfortable finagling any harder. Scared I'm gonna mess it up. I'll take a picture and see what you think.

This is the one they used on the original Photon. Tyler's doubler will work...

I have a question.....I tried sighting in my XT today and ran out of adjustment for the windage (left to right). I maxed out and I'm still a couple inches to the right at 100 yards...any idea how I can get the scope dialed in?
Thanks!

I havent seen or heard of this issue with the Photon, unlike the x-sight. Are you sure that your rings and bases are straight? With these we have to put our own rings on, there is the possibility something is off off just a hair. I would check that first and either loc-tite or steal the wifes fingernail polish to lock the screws down.

I thought about this and double checked all the ring screws at the range, everything was pretty tight. I am assuming the rings are not perfectly lined up, but I'm not sure how you can adjust the direction of the rings.

If you are using two piece rings, then you can exchange the ring locations and or orientation to help line your scope up. This is one reason that some folks like a one piece mount, but they have their own set of problems. First thing I would do is exchange the front ring with the back ring and see if that moves your x position to the other side. You can also experiment with rotating the rings so they tighten up on the other side. All of these things can change windage on two piece rings. If that is not enough, you can do some machine work or file work on the base mounts. I've done all of that with success. I had a similar problem with my first Sightmark, and finally got it sorted out so that there was very little adjustment to make to zero. It was never in the scope, it was the mounts.

They are two piece rings...not sure of the brand, but they were fairly cheap.

That's a great idea....I will try to do that and see if I can get it to work, thank you.

What ring are you guys using to mount an external IR to the side of the scope? The one I got for it from UNV for the UNV20-IR wont fit and a cheap aluminum ring is cocked on the plastic rail but does hold. I need to move the flip up cover but it feels like its not going to move.

Most folks mount their IR on the hand guard.
Work at it, the cover will come off.

Looks like this is a viable setup that's really affordable.
How does the Photon XT 4.6 with the doubler compare to the Pulsar Digisight N750? Which setup would you guys recommend?

Work at it, the cover will come off. I got it off and turned it, used a weaver ring to mount the 20-IR. This is for my fathers bolt action so I have to mount it to the scope. I don't want to mount anything to the stock cause it is a rare old Colt 223 Bolt Gun Sako L461 action. I was Surprised that this scope was as clear as it is and with snow on the ground no IR was needed out to 180 yards which really did surprise me. Thanks again Mike

I imagine you already know to get the 30mm rings.
