This is what you miss when you have to make all the family Christmas parties.

Always the way it goes. This year for me the best weather always happened on the weekends I could NOT go!

Nice buck BTW.

Yes it does seem to be the norm or sitting in a different stand.

Yep. I was done out of big bucks 2 "Thanksgivings" in a row. One, my buddy shot out of my stand. Another my neighbor's dad shot 30 minutes after it went passed my game cam and jump the fence. I passed him three times hoping for the next year but dads 67+ get to shoot what they want off our places. I guess it's our version of the senior plan. smile

Sometimes cameras suck. I got a pick of a 10 behind my barn on the security camera Thanksgiving

Do y'all think this buck is younger on his way up or older on his way down? He carries more mass than most of the ones we've seen. H

Look on the bright side, you might have saved the camera. Looks like it may have suffered when he walked out.

Yes, I have to remind myself and my son to wait until they clear the feed pen before the shot.

What are you seeing that makes you think he's younger? I can't judge their age worth a crap on the hoof.

Just my .02 cents.. he looks like a rutted down 4.5 yr old buck. He'll be a bit better next year so hope you see him again next season.
