Headed to hunt south texas this week in cotulla. Just curious of anybody has been out hunting there recently. Curious of the deer are still in rut. Unfortunately it s like rain is headed that way with the front. According to my brother if they just get a little rain you can't get back to hunt even with 4wd. Hopefully the rain will hold off.

Was there yesterday and basically no rutting, although I did see one buck trailing a doe -- but only one out of dozens I saw.

I was between Laredo and eagle pass Thursday thru Sunday and the bucks were all over the does in the cold temps. The rut was full swing!

We were in Cotulla last week and the rut was not happening except with a few young ones nosing some does.

2 weeks ago the rut was pretty strong around Cotulla, I was in Los Angeles and Big Wells and saw lots of rutting
