Dennis, It sure makes a 200 yd shot nice,I was in the middle of a wheat field where other options to steady were available. Due to the rolling hill, I couldn't have laid prone, it is either shoot freehand like John Wayne or carry my rest. Its not that bad and makes it a heck of a lot easier to shoot, I hit this yote 3 times within 3 seconds, the follow up shots are easier with this rest too. I realize it doesn't make sense in every hunting situation to carry it, but in this particular one, I prob wouldn't have made a 200 yd freestanding shot, so I'm glad I had it.

Makes perfect sense, sometimes it pays to have the right tool. Back when I did ALLOT of yote hunting, I used the 2 sticks with the rubber "hinge", easy to carry on a long walk. The set up you have should be rock solid with the tripod. Sure not knocking what you used though.

Hey Cody, Congrats on the yote with the new NV. Change your mind on the thermal? We need to link up soon. I got a couple new night toys to play with too. Got the sightmark photon xt 4.6 and the ATN x-sight 5x-18. Both are pretty fun so far. My SBR is complete too. 31 days.

Hey Brandon, just saw this, let's roll! I'm about to start doing a lot of night time hunting....Well no more than normal really, just mainly after more pigs than yotes. . I ended up going with night vision over the thermal for a few reasons, but price was a pretty large factor. I'm loving this new nv, I can see pretty clearly for a lot farther than I can shoot lol. Give me a shout anytime, I'm ready to roll.
