We now have a new Quail Forever chapter. We are the LoneStar QF chapter. Our first mtg is Jan 15th at wilhoiets in Grapevine Tx. Mtg starts at 6:30. Come check it out and help us with our mission to restore bob whites in North Texas. I can be reached at 214 616 2685. John Blackall.

I was a VP with Lone Star QF 7-8 years ago. QF was pretty new. Wish you guys luck. We had a lot of lip service from quail hunters. Very few were willing to put their money where their mouth was and got even less help from them. Most just want to consume the resource not do any heavy lifting.
Hope your turn in the barrel goes better.

We have a very active Quail Coalition in the Houston area. Most of the money comes from big money people. Many of their improved pastures are in fact improved. The problem with getting more people involved is that the improved pastures are private and off limits to the rank and file bird doggers. That's just the way it is in Texas.
Quail hunting is like walking into, and out of a beautiful painting all day long. Gene Hill

Same with Dallas...the active QC chapter is highland park...not exactly your average joes. I wish there was a "conservation" org that just pooled money and used it to buy land and set it aside, maybe create another place like matador over time..I'd happily contribute to that over funding "research."
