What would you be willing to pay for a MLD lease with stands and feeders provided and hunter pays for corn? Hunter can kill 1 trophy, 1 cull, and 2 does stretched out from October-February.

This, and how much land? Year round access?

I'd sure google the owner/manager. There are some crooks out there scamming hunters. One in east Texas around Tyler/Longview comes to mind. Can't remember his name.

If it has year round access, true trophy potential on bucks, one hunter per 700-1000 acres, $3600 a year.

Here is the bottom line, and this is what deer hunting has become; if you are on an MLD lease or any lease for that matter that has a history or track record of killing bucks in excess of 160" your going to pay north of 5 grand a gun with minimum pressure. I have hunted 2 MLD ranches, one now that meets this criteria and one in the past I paid less, but odds where a 160" was not realistic.

How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Have any room for another hog hunter on that place? Never been hog hunting. Would love to have one for the freezer.

Prior to 2008 that ran $280. Now it's roughly $1250 only you get 2 trophies (130-145" realistic...property record is low 180s, IIRC), 1 cull & 3 does (or more, doe tags get pooled after Dec to get them killed before bucks start shedding), and & alligator permit. Last year I was on that lease it was only $900, gone up since then a little.

You guys know so much and I know so little It's frustrating!
All I want is a lease that will let me hunt a couple times a year for hogs and NON trophy even does for the freezer. I live in N Arizona and go to Houston to see my son a 2 or 3 times a year and would like to stop somewhere on the way home for a day or two.
I'm lookin hard-

If this price of oil stays down, these prices may ease up but it will be a while.

Hunting has turned into a rich mans game.

It's so hard to find a place a common person can go and take his family and still afford it

the ones you can afford have no game...

sux
