Hello Folks
Was looking to take my 9 year old son on a guided hunt (I will also go), ideally within 1-2 hour drive of DFW area. Son has never hunted live animals but has shot at the range his bolt acion .22 and handles it pretty well. He may not be cool on killing deer but he will have no problem taking hogs, he knows they are a parasite animal and destructive to agriculture, etc. Plus being ugly, so maybe we consider going after hogs.
Obviously a guided hunt with experience with kids, families, etc. Also lodging on-site for stay of 2 or 3 days. I have done some preliminary research and the following names seem to come up alot
Just looking for recommendations/etc, thank you !

must have missed your post yesterday, then again, dis android got mind of its own. tried editing above post, but it got rejected. tis a conspiracy i tell ya unless some one has sent ya a pm. $48.00 permit will put ya on public land, lodging is primative, my daughter can handle it, so u should be okay. think they having up coming shotgun rim fire & muzzy hog hunts. just an option.

Like Colt45 said check the outfitters forum Another option is TYHP Texas Youth Hunting Program, for that your son will have to have completed Hunters Education but there are some hunts still available to sign up for, most are more than 2 hours away though. http://tyhp.alamark.com/youth-hunters/youth-hunt-schedule/
lf the saying "Liar, Liar your pants on fire" were true Mainstream news might be fun to watch

Larry, we have a lease in Honey Grove that is covered in hogs. We have stands and feeders and they are all built to accommodate parent/child hunts. Give us a call if you are looking for a hunt. We would only charge for you, not for your son. We check game cams regularly and will be able to tell you when to come to put you on a feeder that hogs are hitting regularly. You can shoot all of the hogs that you want.
Sincerely, Eric
