Been after this mature buck all season, saw him in person a few times, but was never able to make the shot. Finally got my chance this weekend and made it count. 20 1/8" inside spread and a 135 2/8" gross score, not a bad buck for our little 96 acre slice of SE Oklahoma.

Great buck!

Just goes to show how much bone and bone tine length it takes to push 140+. Either way, great buck especially for smaller acreage.

Yep, his R brow was split and broke off, but all around he had fairly short times. The mass and width were there, but as you see they don't make up the big numbers. Regardless I scored him just out of curiosity and for fun, I knew he wasn't going to score high and it doesn't make or break him as a trophy in my opinion. I spent the season chasing after him and some of his cohorts and passed on a lot of deer before being offered a shot on a mature buck. That is what gets me pumped.
