Has anyone ever hunted one or some of the northern Indian Reservations? 'Looking for a Bison hunt as free range as possible. I know the animal isn't a real big challenge, but I've always thought it'd be a neat experience. I know I won't exactly make "life-long friends" with the guide, but I'd still like to experience it. I also know that you don't automatically get the "whole" animal without buying the meat separately, etc. I saw a table and a couple of guys at the Dallas Safari Club show a couple of years ago, Blackfeet or Crow I think, but that was during my first loop on Saturday morning and then they were MIA the rest of the weekend.

Thanks in advance for your help.

This looks like a pretty good resource for tribal hunts.

My friend had some buffalo on his ranch here and when they sold it a few years ago, the new owner wanted them off. An Indian tribe from up north used a heli and loaded them up. Would be funny to shoot a S. Tex buffalo in Montana. I got some pics of them right before they sold it.
