Great buck! We have been seeing a buck like that on our "Woods" place--not real wide but old and heavy. My wife likes to hunt too and she too uses a 257 bee most of the time. Congrats to her!!!

None of my business but you should give your wifey more to brag about. When you measure the main beams you measure the widest part. Boone and Crocket estimates the average NM whitetail to have 16 inches between eartips when they are erect/alert. The widest point on hers looks to be 3-5 inches more each side. At a minimum in the field I would call it closer to 22 then 13 though pictures are hard to judge from. Their field guide if you want to read it if it links is below. He is a great deer no matter the spread! I am very excited she got this deer. She had no idea I would let her shoot him. Spread is only one measurement. I can assure we measured him and he is 12 7/8 insife. And the difference between a 13" and 16" deer is only 3 inches in difference in score.
