 Jawbone....Age this one... 10 1/2 ???

I was able to take this buck earlier in the week. South Texas, low fence. The jawbone is next to an aging guide made by TPWD and the tab it is next to is for 8 1/2. First drop tine buck I've ever seen in the wild. He was chasing a doe and got out in the open. So what do you guys think the age of this deer is based on his jaw / teeth?

Great looking buck for sure, congrats on a double drop tine  For age is the soil where you hunt sandy if so teeth ware will be accelerated. For sure a good mature buck but might not be as old as tooth ware indicates. Sandy soil 6.5 not sandy soil 7.5 or 8.5 would be my guess.
