1st year on lease south of Quanah. Not sure what to expect. Saw good many does during bow season, not much lately. Only seen couple small bucks all year. Just started seeing a few rubs and scrapes. Anyone hunt around this area seeing rutting activity? I've heard good things about this county just never hunted this part of the country.

If you have wheat they will come. I was about 10 miles north of Quanah. If we had wheat, we had deer. The years with no wheat were rough.

Kinda what I was thinking. No wheat on us but down the road. Guess that's where the deer went I was seeing during bow season.

We hunt northwest of Quanah near the river. Good deer numbers in the area, but a late rut in recent years. We have a few fawns just now coming out of spots.
