I have not heard of that particular outfitter but it sounds consistent with what I ran across when I looked into a possible hunt. (I was going to be in Sofia, Bulgaria on a business trip so thought about making a hunt as a side trip). SCI typically auctions off a Mouflon hunt every year (the outfitter is in Austria not Czech Republic ) The cost is on par with what I was seeing (about 10K)...plus you stay in a "castle." The photo galleries of the Mouflons that were being taken on most of these places were pretty impressive. I beat it would be an experience to remember.

I spoke to several outfitters from that area at the Dallas Safari Club show last year about Roe Deer hunting and was impressed with what I heard. We went to South Africa instead, but will be going back to Europe some time in the future and plan on hunting while we are there. If you are not in a hurry to book anything, you might want to wait until January and meet a few outfitters in person before booking a hunt.

i would do that hunt in a heartbeat, matter of fact I plan to.

as it stands I do not have the room in my house to mount an elk, big bear or moose so I'm gonna have to kill animals that will fit on the walls, mouflons, European boar and roe deer will fit nicely

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Thanks Guys! Tony, The way I got it figured it is going to cost 4201 EURO including, Lodging (Castle) Meals, Transport to and from Airport etc.and Taxidermy for a 220 plus CIC Ram, not counting Airfare, unless I am missing something? googled exchange rate translated to $5260.83 U.S. Dollars??

Hilonsome, All I did was look at the article in the link you had posted ...see below. Perhaps the exchange rates have changed and the dollar is stronger.....but I don't think it varied that much in the last few years.

"Following the hunt Poneta says Urban not only helped him find long-lost family that he had never met, but also traveled with them while they visited and acted as interpreter. Poneta gives the price of his hunt as $4,000 with an additional $4,000 in trophy fees."

In the past when I looked the prices were running about $10K for the hunt in Austria. I just went and looked at the latest SCI bidding and found this hunt ... see link below (5 days one hunter & one guest for a ram and a boar)...estimated value was $12,900. So you eliminate the boar and the observer and you are probably under the $10K mark.....BTW, I decided to post the picture from that link...another unbelievable Mouflon. when you go you need to take lots of pictures.

Do you have any details on how the hunt takes place?

You can go to the websites and read about the hunts. For the Mouflons they are typically spot and stalk from what I read....sometime from blinds.

Just straight up tell them what you plan to do? crazy whistle

Oh, and make sure that TT doesn't find about Pure Mouflon semen.....all that hard work and effort and planning only for it to go into a barnyard wool sheep to create the "ultimate trophy", make some fancy name for it, and profit.

Kobus,
You need to stop trashing Thompson Temple..... it's not a very attractive quality that you seem to love displaying.
