Solo Limit of Grays Saturday morning (plus a coyote tryin to stalk my Mojo dove). Done by 7am. Sunday took the GF and 2 best friends to one of our private spots. First bird dropped in the minute of LST. Buddy dropped her immediately - Woodie hen. 2 minutes later it was on! big flights of gadwall and mallards were sailing in from all directions! After her first shot, GF's gun jammed (Kent Fasteel stuck in the barrell). Gave her my gun and missed several good flights while I was trying to fix hers! Action slowed down soon after.. still a great and very memorable hunt! One big Green Head is going up on the wall!

My Winchester 1200 field I was given as a kid used to jam up a lot- it's the same gun she's holding in the pic... Get her a good solid duck gun for Christmas!!!

Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

YES!!! That was my first shotgun given to me by my dad.. and then he bought me the same one in synthetic! I will never let go of them but they jam like CRAZY with certain shells! One day I'll upgrade.. God knows I need to!

Mine couldn't shuck a low brass shell at all, and it still doesn't. When I enlisted, I left it home in NY on the gun rack in my parent's basement where I don't think it has ever moved since. Jam-o-matic but a nice looking shotgun.

I have a hard time getting rid of guns, particularly the ones given to me by my dad. But there is no doubt.. they are about the bottom of the barrel as far as quality goes!

Kent shells are the absolute worst.. and high brass remingtons. Last year I broke the rim off a kent shell trying to eject it as the first big flock of pintails was dropping in on us! Luckily had a cleaning rod in my bag and was able to push it out after a few minutes but I missed my chance at my unicorn bird! So Frustrating!

Also last year.. first shot of the season I dropped a gadwall. went to [censored] it, jammed. Turns out the slide arm broke clean off at the weld. Luckily I had the other gun back home so I was able to fix it and hunt again the next morning.
