First sit of the year, got my trusty bow with me, got in the stand about 10 min ago.
It's 42 degrees and 15-20 mph north wind

Had about 8 does come to the feeder.
Along with 1 black angus.
Saw some pigs running in the woods
Was gonna take a doe but decided with the rut starting I'd leave em until December.

Doe and fawn came to the feeder.
Wind was howling
When I got out of the blind to walk to the truck I saw 3 sika does 400 yards away on a ridge
Switched counties gonna try again tomorrow

Saw one spike that I hesitated on and never got another shot. I shot a big black boar hog right before dark. When I drew my peep was turned 90 degrees and I still shot and hit him a little high in the front shoulder. Didn't find blood. Headed back out to the same pop up. This wind really has them shut down at our place.
