Hey everyone, hope your all doing well! Let me start with an apology. I know this should probably be put into the "Hunting Gear" section as opposed to the MBH section but I just couldn't help myself. I figured that I would get the best help from the guys who are using their waders day in and day out. (Plus, 10x more people on this topic)

So I just got the green light from the ol' lady to get a good pair of waders. Theres alot to choose from! Should I get breathable or neoprene? I'd prefer the best cheaper pair (if such a thing exists), but want to stay under $200. What do you all think? Thanks in advance!

Yes sir, I've heard and read many good things about the cabelas brand. Would you say that all of their products are of good quality? And can you please explain the major differences between neoprene and breathable? Thanks!

I have had very good luck with Academy. Check them out online. They have some with heavy duty cordura on the lower legs to knee area that really help with preventing punctures.

It seems like Cabelas Supermag 1600 is the way to go... but check these out. They are originally $300, more then supermag but on sale for $160, way less then the supermag.. wonder why? What do you guys think?

Well considering I have a set of 5mm in shadow grass from when I was in 9th grade that would be a negative. I hunted Centex ponds and no lake hunting. I pretty much quit hunting when i started fishing for a living and then got back into it from there and spend nearly everyday on the water after the split

Macks waders without a doubt. On season 3 of a pair of Macks that go everyday. I would wear out a pair of Cabelas every year till I went to Macks. Cabelas were good because of their return policy, but since they stopped life time warranty there is no use in buying them.
