Some people will take an intense amount of time getting ready to hunt, and picking a date to hunt. I understand if you work a lot and have to choose you off-days wisely, but if you are a normal person that has the weekends off, why wait for a certain date when you COULD go every weekend up untill that week your hunting? Think about it this way, what if you wait until the last weekend of the season to hunt? Then for some reason, you don't get to go, or are unsuccessful? How would your fridge look then? Just a thought. Can I get an AMEN?!

I feel it boils down to people who are passionate about hunting and who want to truly invest in the sport, and those looking for the quick and easy route. Every season without fail on the night before the season opener, you will find long lines of hunters waiting (and grumbling) to buy a license. I suspect these are the same ones who started getting ready for the season a week or two earlier, if at all. Then a week or two later when they haven't seen or harvested a thing, they start asking if they can hunt your stand and food plot or feeder that you've been working on for weeks if not months.

I have always hunted when I wanted to, for the majority of people there is life outside for hunting. up

Yes but given the choice, do YOU ever feel it's ever a bad time to hunt? I doubt it. I say it's THEIR problem when they choose to put limits on anything like this. If I'm able and I have a choice, take a guess what my answers gonna be 100% of the time. Jes sayin up

Oh no...it's my problem. I am the boss and have left for hunting when I shouldn't have rofl

But I agree, there is not a bad time to be in the woods. I even go early season when it is hot and miserable...just because I can cheers

Fortunately my wife supports my hunting passion and I get out in the field each weekend. I sometimes, as the season progresses, I feel a twinge of guilt, that feeling typically passes quickly.

The other hunter on my lease on the other hand, gets out only a few times during the season. And sure enough he is always disappointed when he doesn't see anything. Saying "this peace of land sucks" or why aren't we seeing anything. My response is you have to be our here to see something. We have some really nice bucks, but deer hunting in Montague isn't easy.

Kids in band, ball and such are a priority for some hunters. They give their family the time they deserve and the time they get to hunt, although limited, is very special and valuable time.

Now me, I never had that problem. Of course my wife doesn't speak to me much between mid August and February. confused2

Not saying that's a bad thing. roflmao

I work hard, drink a little and hunt when I can.
