due to the rain and ...life. I haven't been able to head down south yet. This Thursday-sunday I will be living in the stand. Any updates for the Frio-Dimmit counties? Also, any cheap diy tips on how to keep a road from getting too muddy that you cant drive it?
hope to post some good deer this year, keep yall posted.

it has been wet, and warm. moon has been brighter. deer have moved some, but un-predictably. we've knocked a couple spikes and hogs down. most of the critters on the hit list have not made an appearance yet though.
looking forward to thanksgiving week. dark moon, hopefully colder weather. and a few days to hunt.

Need that cooler weather to get the deer moving. If you are on the extreme eastern part of south Texas look for rutting activity to start around Thanksgiving on into the first couple weeks of Dec.
Thursday at 12:45 PM #33 Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

Don't know if you consider uvalde county south or south central, but alot of deer movement. Just no mature deer yet. Like everyone else I'm waiting for thanksgiving for the rut before I make the drive back to the lease.

I am on the far eastern side of the area. With the rains over the past 2 weeks greening up a lot and a full moon the deer movements have went downhill over the past 4 days. Rut is getting very close here and the bucks are running at every doe now that even tries to come into a feeder. So doe sightings are way down as they won't even try to get to corn with all the green. Mornings here are better than evenings for buck sightings. This morning it was 43 degrees and I saw the fewest deer since bow season on a morning hunt.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?
