Any of y'all hunting with double barrels? If so how do you like it?

I do. Browning Cynergy. I love it. Gun fits me great, I shoot it great, etc. Plus, it means I don't throw needless steel in the air on a hail mary third shot.
This morning I bagged three woodies and a BWT with it
The one negative many will find is not having the third shot, especially if another group is coming in or what not.

I hunt with a Cynergy as well. It fits me very well and I don't have to worry about whether or not it will go bang if it gets muddy.

Carried a bss 12 and 20 for a long time, kind of beat them up on walk in hunts so they get preferential hunt treatment only these days. Really enjoyed teal season this year with a citori 28ga.

If the barrel was a little shorter, I would consider it.

SxS wearing waxed canvas and 16" main hunting boots
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

I used my SXS Merkel 147 last year. It weighs about 6 lbs and kicks like a mule using 3 inch #4. I only killed 2 duck and only shot 6 times. Love to kill dove, pheasants and, quail with the SXS not so much on ducks...

If the barrel was a little shorter, I would consider it. I wouldn't like the 30 inch barrel, either, but I do like Stoeger. I bought the M3500 last year and love it. I looked at a few double barrels but decided on a semi and, for $650 or so, I made a great choice. The double barrels in the video looked nice, though.
I just turned it on . I was looking bird dogs in the butt this morning.

If the barrel was a little shorter, I would consider it. Be careful on those stoegers, idk about the long fowler but I won the over and under in a banquet and it was a pos, I had to bang the stock on the ground between shot to get the trigger to reset. Idk if the side by side is any different.

I have an Ithaca SKB 500 in 20ga that I am afraid to run steel through... Does anybody know if the barrels on that shotgun are chrome lined and good to shoot steel through? I'd LOVE to bring it out duck hunting a time or two.
Wasn't born in Texas, but I got there as fast as I could.

How do y'all like shooting 3.5 out of the cynergy? It is a non-issue - don't notice a thing when firing at birds. It's not even that bad when shooting targets. The nifty recoil pad design helps a lot. But, I'm also not very recoil sensitive, so...

Adrenaline kicks in when birds are in the air!
There is not a duck on the planet that needs a 3.5" shell, and there are good 3" options for Goose too, if needed.

I have shot my grandads sxs Darne for years it dates back before there was school and Im not that old. It made me a better huner learning on a SXS. I can shoot and O/U or auto no problem. Know some guys that learned the other way can't shoot a sxs to save their arse.
