I have one from Caraway calls sounds really good he has some great calls. Some stink sound like grunts, farts, or coyote yaps. Ive tried better to hunt a spot you know where they are. If you do succeed in calling up a sow make sure your well off the ground.

I know a spot that's on public land, and hey hang out in the same area all the time, but I can never get a shot. Always holding up in the thick brush.. I can get within 30 yards but cannot get a shot. And if you try to relocate to get a shot they are gone when they hear you. No hunting at night here, and no baiting.. So I am thinking something to call them out might be my best bet.

I've got a baby pig distress call on my FoxPro; so far, coyotes and an occasional fox are all that's responded--
Me and ol' RUGER, 74 years and still shooting.

Jt don't over crowd em too much. they will move out. i likes ta sneak up on em & bark like a dog, it scares de crap outa em. got video did find few more few days later, think same ones. was doing scouring for whin friend made it down. haven seen him on here lately, but Guess has some videos, seen one. take your time, use the wind to your advantage. best wishes

The baby pig squealer will make a lactating sow come back REAL MAD after you have scattered a sounder.
Personally, I like to use sow urine around my feed or pig pipe areas, instead of calling. So, I would put some Sow in Heat Urine on cotton balls and hang on tree limbs upwind of the bedding area you spoke of...then make a trail (few drops every ten yards or so until you get to a good open ambush spot...then dump an ounce or two on the ground....then make a circle of urine about 20 yards in circumference around that spot...then get down wind or cross wind of that spot and hunt it for a few days after that.

I like the call from my buddy that the hogs are at the feeder.

Hogs are smart, learnable animals. Record the sound of the feeder going off, play it, and you should get some come in. Otherwise, have your feeder rigged with a car horn that sounds when feeder goes off. Let them get used to for a few weeks, drive out there, and start honking. Can't say how this will affect the deer.

I've heard that hogs are more apt to come into a feeding pigs call vs a distress call with the one exception being that a piglet in distress will sometimes call in a sow.
