And 7 bucks. None of the bucks were shooters, but had a very nice 8 and a 2 yr old 9 within 40 yards for almost an hour. It was actually annoying because I had a lot of deer moving across the field and the bucks were keeping me from moving much (in tripod). Wasn't going to take a doe today, but as I was walking to check my trail cam, I had 3 does running towards me from 400 yards out. I took a knee in the brush and waited a minute or so, and they presented a good free hand shot so I took it. Got a good double lung and she only made it 40 yards or so. Have to fill my mld tags and freezer, right? My kid was stoked.

I always feel like I'm over harvesting because I can shoot 3 does and 2 bucks on my place, but I think no one around me ever shoots does, because there are obviously a ton of them around. I've had upwards of 30 in view (not all on my property) at 1 time. Given that the total area of our bottom area is about 400 acres, I think the population is too high.
