With the predicted cold front and the high being 59 and low being 37 for Polk county Saturday would it be a good time to bring out the doe estrus in the evening? Or is there another scent I need to bring with me? We hunt right outside of Livingston and what I have heard is far is that they are seeking and chasing.

Many a deer has been shot with only the smell of gunpowder in the air afterwards. Don't spend money on anything except bullets and arrows.

Saturday evening scent selections sounds like your going on a date? Channel Number 2?

Buck pizz. If you locate a scrape add a little buck pizz to it. Only ever seen 1 young buck stop at a doe esterus scent pad. I stopped using doe pee.

Go to your local sports store and buy all the scents on the shelf...put them out at 30 yard increments in every direction. Something is bound to like one of them. Post pics please up

I have used tinks and seen it work and have seen it ignored. I kind of gave up after that, but will get a wild hair and try something on occasion.

I mainly bow hunt, so I don't really try to attract many deer from the downwind side confused2

Haha alright. I guess a better question would be, how is the rut activity out in or near Polk county.

A drag line with doe estrus. I have also used mock scrapes that's have been very successful. Walking to the blind if I don't have a drag, I spray just a bit of coon urine. When in the blind, with wind right, I will spray more doe estrous.

So Saturday with how the weather is looking, wont be too early to use doe estrus? Since the bucks are chasing it will be a good time to try a doe estrus scent Saturday evening? I'm hunting in east Texas
