Hey guys.. This is my first real season Duck hunting, as I am sure most of you know haha
I have 6 teal decoys, and I am going to buy 6 mallard decoys as well. when I set them out is it good to mix them or set two groups close together of each kind?
I have 2 Mojos as well but both teal. Wife wont let me spend more right now to get the mallard mojos too.
Thanks for the help!

Make it look as natural as possible. Set up the same way as you see the birds doing. Wind at you back and mojos where you want them to land. Good luck

Put your mallards out as far as you want to shoot, for visibility and for shot judgement ! Then come back in with smaller decoys ! If birds don't wanna commit pull your mojos. Remember we are the last state before the coast they have seen it all!!!! Good Luck!

Sell one teal mojo and use any money saved that was for a mallard mojo to use as gas money for scouting. Scout scout scout. Then put your decoys out. Gas money is the best investment to a good season.
Actually just buy a few dozen more decoys and as many mojos as you can, make sure you splurge for the extended poles too that gets em in from counties away.

Mojos can be very useful, especially early in season. But watch if the birds are flaring from it and pull them out as needed. Don't over science. Leave a landing spot that ties to the wind direction and your blind placement. Put out some groups around that spot. Good to go. If you are blowing a call, don't overdo it either. Some quacks and feeding calls, a whistle for teal, pintail, widgeon. Good luck.
