We've had good rains this year and everything looks very nice. They are starting to harvest cotton and the wheat is growing well already. Our deer look as healthy as ever and have some good horn growth this year even over on the quarter section where we don't feed protein.
North Childress County

Hunting just outside of Lakeview in Hall county. We've got lots of nice does on camera, but as far as bucks go they are few and far between. Got a couple of small young ones coming in regularly but I'm still waiting for the mature one to come in. There been a few muley's around but no shooters.

I hunt Childress and we have seen 4 really nice bucks this year on camera and had a big nice 11 point with a huge body start to come in 2 weeks ago that ended up busting us in the ground blind we had set up for bow hunting. We had 4 in one pick with 1 10 point 2 8's and 1 11 all in the same shot. I cant wait to get back this weekend. We have way more water this year than last too so I think that is helping us out since all 3 tanks have plenty of water.

Same here im south of Childress though on the Peas River I have not seen this much feed this year in a Long Long time and water. We have water year round on the place but all the Tanks are full now. We have good numbers of bucks on the place in 140-160 range but not many on camera this year but the ladies are there just got to wait for that time and they will mess up.
