Drove through Choke before going fishing. Several good bucks out.

Used to go down all the time when I was a kid to visit my grandma when she lived in Calliham, we would go drive through and take pics of all the big deer then I would take the pics to school and tell all my buddies they were taken on a deer lease we had.

Thanks to everyone for the comments. In a few weeks the first rut should be on and hopefully there will be more buck out and about.

I did a stand by hunt there and you can not shoot any antlered deer. All I saw where deer like that so went home empty handed but it was fun.

The guy that is the head warden or ranger out there back 2000-2001 was really cool and told me a story about a guy from up north who wanted take a pic of his 2 year old with a javi. So he pours out a 50 lb bag of corn near the camp grounds and sits jr right smack dab in the middle of it. Lee gets a call from one of his rangers and she he gets on scene the kid is surrounded by a whole mess of javi's. He said the kid was patting there head like a puppy. He wanted to kill the dad, they didn't know what to do. These javi's could tear that kid up at any second. So finally one of the rangers just ran in there and swooped the kid up. Kid was dang lucky. You can't fix stupid
