My family and I will be hunting on a little over 100 acres between Davilla and Buckholts. The place is ran by a family friend. He has been running feeders with corn and protein in them. Some of the guys I work with say that there are some huge bucks in that area.

Anyone have experience in that area of Milam Co.? I'm pumped for rifle season, just trying to have an idea of what to expect.

Thanks!

Never seen huge bucks in this area, but I've certainly seen some decent mature bucks. Lots of does to fill the freezer as well.

Welcome to the board and good luck this season!

Thank you both for the welcome! I'm just hoping I can see something big enough to meet the 13" rule and get some meat in the freezer.

Good place to hunt. There aren't B&C bucks just running around all over the place, but people have shot plenty of big bucks around there. Its the kind of place that you never know what will walk out. We hunt around the Sharp area, and the deer population seems to be getting better year after year.

Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.
