I found a club car golf cart that's in great condition just needs new batteries for $400. Is this a good deal?

I have an old cart I got for free and in my research, brand new 6v batteries on a low end are around $100 retail and u need 6. Do not forget the 36v charger, brand new on a low end $200. Again, I may be way off but this is what I have found to be true and that is way mine is still non-running in my garage.

Great price if it comes with the charger. I just spent $700.00 to replace the 6 batteries I bought from Advance auto parts all with born on dates of Aug 2014. Check the born on dates before buying batteries. The previous batteries were in my cart for 3 years and I have owned it for 2+ years. My cart runs like a striped [censored] ape and can pull my 5' X 8' flat bed trailer with a 275 gal water tote full of water. 5 years of use out of batteries is not unusual if you clean and maintain them properly. Buy it.

Don't be scared. Club car has an aluminum frame. Great cart to start with.

It's a very good deal. You can go on carting sites and do almost anything on them yourself. one of our club cars has been hunting hard for over 12 yrs and it was used when we got it.

Yeah careful on those batteries, alot of people dump those things when the batteries go.

I have a Club Car also. We took it to the lease to run around on. It does fine for being quiet. But if you get off on some rough roads or in some rocky areas, the shocks and frame hang up a lot on them. It drags a lot and you have to push it off some rocks. Mine is lifted with some larger tires, too.
