He had been in the hospital for two months and as of October 14th, has now been home for two months.

He told his wife that he really appreciated her waiting on him hand and foot since he's been back home and she can plan on continuing in that role for the forseeable future. That includes the upcoming season when she'll need to take over the pre-dawn setting of dekes and picking them back up after each hunt.

Ever see what a .40 cal entry wound in center mass looks like up close?

I can tell that's not a wound inflicted by a wife. If I would have said that to mine she would have emptied the clip!!! bolt

There is time, and you must take it, to lay your hand on your dog's head as you walk past him lying on the floor or on his settle, time to talk with him, to remember with him, time to please him, time you can't buy back once he's gone" GBE

Naw ... he married an absolute angel. Besides, she knows that gut shots are frequently survived whereas head shots are almost always lethal. wink

That's actually where the "Peg Tube" (the one they feed you through when your in the hospital for awhile) was removed the other day. Pulling it out from the stomach isn't all that painful. However, pulling off all the danged tape that held the bandage in place was a real bitch.
