Been reading some of the aging posts here and this one has me even more confused. A previous topic was talking about how the leg length is one of the best ways to determine age. I look at this deer and see very long legs compared to his body. I can see some age in his face but his straight back and belly make me think he is not that old. Definitely wouldn't have placed him in Sr. citizen category or roaming with the dinosaurs. I would have put him at 4 yrs. old. Just trying to learn.

I'm with spro (and in the same learning boat).

When I look at this guy I see:
- a relatively narrow head, that doesn't look wide compared to his ears
- not too thick of a neck, that seems to attach well above his brisket
- small brisket, not thick or with a lot of hanging skin
- no pot belly or sagging back
- "long" legs relative to his body

Is this just what they revert to in old age, looking kind of like a 3 yr old? Or am I completely looking at him wrong?
