Has anyone experimented with any of the "Night Vision" apps available for Android used in conjunction with an IR illuminator? Just got a Galaxy Tablet and can find no info on its capability in the IR spectrum.

I can tell you right now that an app alone does not give your phone night vision or thermal capability. You can add one of these products, but it still doesn't do anything close to what you would prolly think you are buying: http://www.opgal.com/MOBILE/MobileProducts.aspxYou get what you pay for. DNS - There are apps to use with your droid phone to enhance images in low light conditions.

Okay, right, so what you are talking about isn't just an app for the phone, but actual product software to run a device attached to the phone.
I was trying to figure out what Android apps there are for IR illuminators and it just seemed crazy.

I believe his thought was that with just an app, you could use it with a strong illuminator in order to have some sort of night vision or thermal setup. Nope...
