First time to ever go Elk hunting. 25 minutes into the hunt opening morning and this Bull stepped out of the timber following a cow. I couldn't pass him up.

Thanks, I am ruined! Already planning for next year. I had taken my fly rod to get in some fishing if time allowed. It snowed hard all day Sunday so we stayed in the cabin most the day. One of my sons is a foreman on a ranch up there, he had planned to take 3 vacation days to help me get my bull. I left Monday so he saved his days for later. He has a 2nd season cow tag so he starts his hunt soon.
