I have used one since they first came out on the market. I don't have deer come to it often but when a buck does come to it, he is completely love struck. They come straight to me. The only problem is it is never a big giant that commits. Always seems to be 3 year old 8 points. I find this odd because I have never heard a doe make a sound even remotely like that.

Do you have any big giants that you have seen? It can be impossible to call in something that does not exist. If you have had young bucks come to it that shows you that it works. With any call or rattling it is all about the right timing when I have used them. Same with the snort wheeze or grunt call. If you get bucks that hang up just out of sight when rattling a snort wheeze can put them in your lap.

Yes sir, I've been around a lot of big deer over the years, been on very good leases with lots of big deer and get pictures of them and all so I know I am around them

Have you ever tried it when you saw a good buck to try to bring him to you?

Yes sir I have and they ignore it, I have always gotten no response.

Like you, the only buck I brought in with rattling horns, grunt call and can being cycled was a 4 yo, nine pt. He did come in running though.

I have never had one respond to the can. Had plenty come in from rattling, grunting and even snort wheezing. Most just ignored the can

Have had several come into the can, 3 one afternoon in Mississippi in about an hours time, might have been more that would have that afternoon but figured the 10pt that was the third one was big enough and shot him at 15 yards. Have seen it work enough there is one and a grunt call in the bag on most hunts once the pre-rut is going.

On calling deer I have had better luck where the visibility is such that the deer cannot see past where you are calling from so the sound could be from cover they cannot see into

I've used it several times. I've had a couple come out of the trees looking to see what's around there and making the sound. I have also used it to stop bucks crossing an open field to get a better look at 'em. They will notice it now and then but not always. Some seem to not pay any attention at all.

The only call that I know myself to be effective is a simple grunt tube. And the time when it has seemed most effective is when I hear or see deer moving nearby and want to draw them in closer or into the open for a shot.

Such was the case last season when I was hunting a food plot from a tripod. It was well into dusk and I could deer moving to my right in the brush. A few short grunts brought two young bucks, including a very legal spike, walking into the food plot within seconds, it being obvious they were looking for the source of what drew their attention.

I have The Can and have used it for blind calling, but cannot say for sure if it works.

I had a group of 9 bucks come barreling off a ridge into the creek bottom I was hunting in response to a grunting & can sequence. They locked up about 30yds off and looked around. Once they figured out nothing was there they hauled butt.

you don't call in nearly as many big ole old dominat coyotes when you set out the fox pro either... they are older and wiser, same thing applies

My dad shot a 150" buck a few years back that came charging in to the can. The buck came from over 600 yards and was killed within 100 yards. I have had several others come in, but nothing as big.

I use one and have used one but can honestly tell you I have never had and discernible reaction from a deer other than looking my way when I set it off. Probably a waste of money.

IMO... It's all in the timing. You have to catch a buck in the right mood at the right time. When he's in that mood he will come in on a string with the can.

It's also like rattling... You can go out and rattle your tail off one day and not see a thing. Go out the next day and rattle and the bucks will dang near run you over.

Timing is everything with the Can…but, it will bring in the does in early season to help fill the freezer….ive even called in a coyote with it
