OP BBD84 THF Trophy Hunter B Joined: Nov 2011 Posts: 6,841 Houston & Buffalo	After a long summer of her getting a new Browning X Bolt toped with Ziess 4.5-12-50 and some practice getting it cutting holes at the range she was ready to chase her first ever whitetail. She looked over game camera pics and picked a target buck out and said she wasnt going after anything else. We headed out Thursday to Rustys (therancher) to chase a few critters with her deer being main priority. After a little stalking and hunting Friday and me not being able to resist a spot and stalk oportunity on sika with my bow night time came. The next morning were out looking for deer moving around after the front blew in and rain cleared off when we spotted her buck bedded with some does. He was patient and alert but thought he was well hidden between the 2 live oaks. She put the 270 where it counted quarting to us at 175 yards or so and let him have it. He jumped and made it 10 yards and piled up. She also got a chance at her first and most wanted exotic which is a white fallow buck while we were there. The mix of emotions that went into this hunt and being blessed to be able to be by my wifes side as she harvested her first whitetail was more than enough to complete my season already.
