I have a giant boar in Grayson County running my property with an ear tag in him. Does anyone know what that means?

Just cause he has an ear tag don't mean that at all brother. We used to catch them in Rotan all the time. Texas A&M caught and released a bunch to do studies on them.

He's still a boar. You can see everything in the pics I have of him. I'll find out in the next couple weeks when I kill him if it's a Texas A&M tag. He's running all my deer off of my food plots and feeders.

I agree trapped or dogged. I'll be surprised it's not a barr too.

I believe there was an article written about it in Texas trophy hunters magazine.... Not saying it doesn't happen but it's not always the doggers could have been a trapper too.

Most people I know that catch and release will not be burdened with carrying the equipment to tag. They will notch an ear with a knife and usually (hopefully be responsible) and castrate.
That cuts down on the reproduction and it also makes it easier to identify with sight.
Also they will usually cut the tail.

Like someone else stated, a picture of the tag, a picture of the head, any pictures you have would be helpful.

At one point TAHC had their own tags for animals brought to a facility for tracking purposes but facilities are not required or issued to use them at this time.
I have a picture of one somewhere?>?>>?> cant find it.

A picture or pictures of this animal will definitely help, but I would bet its either.....
A) A 4H or stockshow animal turned loose.
B) Not a "giant" and if it is, its a domestic and not feral.
C) That "Judas" pig released in New Mexico and decided to come to Texas and hang out with our Squatch and Chupas and be cool!!!! up

Seriously, A is probably the winner.
