late today, a pretty strong front is supposed to roll in around dinner time. 60 % chance of rain and temps in the low 50s in the morning and only getting up to 68 on Saturday
what should we do if anything differently bow hunting this evening and in the morning?
with the moon being so brite this week, deer have been scarce during daylight hours

Where I'm at, the weather isn't suppose to break until tomorrow afternoon. That's when I will be in my stand and also early Sunday morning.

Hopefully it rains all night and when the rain breaks in the morning they are on the move.

do you think they might stir around just this evening prior to the storms they are predicting?

Any time out there is better than on the couch!! I like it a little cooler but yes I'd hunt this evening and tomorrow early. Low pressures these fronts bring can get deer moving. Cold and light rain is one of my favorite times to hunt.

Only thing I have seen different with hunting fronts is that deer don't like wind. It doesn't matter front or no front they just don't like wind.

It has been my personal experience that wildlife in general are more active during the 24 hours prior to the front actually hitting. It has paid off for me time and time again both in the woods and on the lake. Good luck to you!

Doesn't get any better than the first calm morning after frontal passage as the barometer continues to rise.

You may want to put something on over those shorts and t-shirts you have been hunting in. It might be a little crisp.

I've always had good luck hunting just before a front as well as the morning after
The moon phase throws a wrench in it though
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

The feeder pen my tripod is at had deer eating at 5:30 today, and my other feeder had deer off and on from 6-7:30 pm. The storms started rolling in around 7:30 and now it is pouring. Hoping tomorrow is a good hunting day, thinking the deer may be up with sunlight. Will be a bit cooler than this am.
Unfortunately I bumped the deer at 5:30 because I didn't think they would be there. They have been regular from 6:30-7 arrivals, so maybe they sensed the front coming and got out ahead of it??

I've definitely seen more activity before a cold front hits. I try to get into the stand 24 hours beforehand but will have my tree umbrella handy in case it hits while I'm on the stand.
