Today has been he most adrenaline rushed day ever! My first two hunts and I got one this evening.
It was not a deer but I think I made a great shot on either a small feral hog or a very large raccoon. Sounded very angry when shot and loud noise about 10 seconds after shot.

 Interesting shooting and not knowing what you are shooting at this morning and now shooting at something and still not knowing what it was.

He was coming behind me through the bushes quickly. I knew it was nothing I shouldn't be shooting. Does the shaking ever stop?

I found really red blood on arrow and ground. Should I take up the trail or try to find some help?

You should ALWAYS know exactly what you are shooting at and what is just beyond said target. There are areas of this state that you may THINK you are shooting at a hog but it could be a black bear and the game warden won't care that you THOUGHT it was something else. Don't be so anxious to just kill something.

Txs, congrats on hitting something - hoping it was the right something. Didn't you have to take the state hunter's safety course and learn to never shoot at something without absolutely knowing what it is and your shot route?
