Hey guys, I shot my Allen broadheads (cheap I know) this morning and it hit the dirt and may have hit a root or rock. The thing was pretty roughed up do I decided to stop at the local archery store and get new ones. I don't know much about bowhunting so I asked the employee. He recommened rage 4 blades, i bought them but wanted to know yalks opionion. Good product or gimmick?

Rage is a good broadhead..I shoot the 2 blade Rage and Slick Tricks depending on my mood. The Rage ALWAYS has made huge exit holes. You should be fine....but others may have different opinions. Fortunately most of todays broad heads are good.

Rage are good, I like the G5 Montecs for fixed blade
If the arrow you shot into dirt does not fly right discard. Don't take chance on shooting a potentially damaged arrow

We no longer allow mechanical broadheads on our ranch after having a few fails. when they work they are great but got tired of the risk. I shoot three blade g5 montec's.

I am not a fan of Rage, but there are plenty of people that swear by them. Haven't heard of a Rage 4 blade though...

Check this guy's other 2 posts. Then you'll understand the rage 4 blade remark.

I was clarefied on the rage 4 blade by a lease buddy. In fact I bought 3 blades, and was counting the tip as a fourth blade.. Oops

Son, you've got a tough row to hoe, I'm afraid.
