30 plus years experience, and lots of equipment. I'm looking for a place to go for 2 weeks, a month, or however long someone with plenty of fur needs me for! I am serious, and I am looking for a place or places to go not only for this year, but to go to back to every year! I'm like most folks and want cats, but I'm happy catching fox, coyotes, coons, or about whatever is available. When I go somewhere to trap-I am serious about it. References available, and if you have a good spot, I don't mind making a long trip to get there. Please PM me with questions! Looking forward to hearing from you! Mark

Been checking fur prices and not looking good. I've been working on my traps and got depressed after reading about bottom falling out again. Haven't seen anyone buying this year. Will still trap for the fun of it and for cat control and will definitely continue to call.

What are you giving for cats, yotes, & coons. I have lots of cats & yotes that I am about to start trapping. Located in S Texas.

This year is goin to be a tough year with the market where it's at, but you can expect anywhere from $40 to $150 for cats, $5 to $20 for yotes, and from $2 to $8 for coon. These are green fur prices, every fur is different but in general we have a nice a cat and coon down here so that's where I would focus, especially on cats that's about the only thing that has a stable market value right now.

I wouldn't even start trapping till after thansgiving though, early and damaged pelts will have little to no value, so doesn't make any sense to bring me a pile Of blue coon and get .50 cents a piece for em, wait till there good a prime and put the hammer down. I don't make any cat sets until after Christmas.

Greg, i'll be getting with you as well. i'll be running, if it turns out as cold a winter as predicted, mid Dec with heavy trapping over the holidays and thru feb. Now, you are talking green fur, what about fleshed/dried and stretched prices? I have a ton of XL coon eating free food out of unset dog proofs right now and when they prime up, its gonna be a large amount at once….

Well skulls will all be the $2 to $5 range just what you got depends and wats the ringtails should be frozen whole prob get around $15 for a whole frozen ringtail, that's where im at with the ringtails. just freeze em whole don't skin em. And fellas I'm gonna give every penny that I can to keep you boys trappin but you gotta remember I gotta make a dollar or two off each fur so I'll keep it at that, but I watch the market every day and plan to be as fair as I can to keep everyone happy. And if your fur is put up you can expect a few extra dollars depending on ur put up. I've put up quite a few furs that fetched top lot at auctions so I'll be real with you and fair at the same time. Good luck again to all my texas trappers and put the hammer on em fellas. There's always money in it some years better than others
