Anyone know if there's a way to add a curb to a curbless shower? Have a trailer that currently has an ADA prefab shower in it that has a small rubber threshold as a curb (enabling wheelchair access) w/shower curtain. However, would rather have a regular shower curb, or maybe shower doors, anything to help reduce water getting out & onto the bathroom floor without a major remod. Thanks for any ideals.

Yeh, I know, sorry bout that. But it's a single-piece prefabricated unit (walls/pan, no seams), no tile, but the prefab plastic type units from Lowe's or Home depot, the trailer structure it's sitting on would be 2x4 wall/floor studs, flooring is plywood, w/sheetrock walls. It's ADA shower w/no existing curb, just a small rubber threshold and an aluminum transition trim to the existing plywood.

If you can take a picture of the area you are trying to change, it might make it easier to help.

Have you looked at the shower doors at places like Home Depot? Fairly cheap and easy to install, not sure if it will work in your situation though

Yes, and thinking the shower doors would be the logical solution, since it's not a tiled application. I'll snap a pic this eve and thanks for the replies.

Yep, and maybe even a weighted shower curtain. Wanted to lay laminate flooring, BUT not with the current water issues. Maybe tile flooring.

I have taken a piece of granite and another time a piece of composite plastic and
used silicone to fasten it down in a similar situation to yours and it worked well.

Will the silicone last?

Yes, very easy fix. As mentioned above if you just want a small curb then you can get a piece of marble or such. If you want a taller curb cut down some cinder blocks and thinset (not the junk priced one, the premium stuff ($30.00 a bag)) them down, then tile over them. Just roughen up the fiberglass first.

Something large and squishy like the seal for a garage door and silicon it down upside down. That and a long curtain and you can keep the ADA feature intact.
