I tried to PM someone today and it keeps asking for a recipient but the person I'm trying to PM is already listed under the block that allows me to add up to five people. I got to that point by clicking on the persons name and selecting PM???

Just click their screen name, select PM, add a subject title, then type your conversation. Send, skip the recipient name part I think that's just for more than 1 person.
