Made a last minute trip down to Josh's Place Thursday evening. We arrived late Thursday night to be greeted by wonderful service! The cabin we were staying in was very nice and CLEAN! we didn't need to bring much. we got out to the stands early Friday morning, shot a coyote headed to the stands, the sun came up, I had 9 does eating under the feeder and decided to take a doe, drew back and let a arrow fly, she ducked and turned to the right and I drilled her in the neck and dropped her in her tracks, big old doe down! Jacob my boyfriend had 5 bucks, two where shooters came into the feeder at 15 yard, drew back on a monster and his cam on his bow squeaked, they trotted off .... hunted that evening and had another 9 does and a spike buck came in and a smaller younger buck also, Jacob saw a few younger bucks but no shooters. Saturday morning we headed back out and Jacob switched stands and I took his stand over, I had 5 different bucks come in but none were shooters, wind was wrong that day and they were on edge. Jacob saw a couple does and 6 more young bucks.

Saturday evening was the DAY! got out to our stands around 4 ish, Jacob had a doe stuck and found by 5! I sat there and had a nubbing buck a couple does and a younger nice bucks come in but nothing mature yet. I sat tight and jacob texted me again and said he had a Turkey down also! I was starting to get a little jelous, right at last light I saw a big bodied deer move to my right and could see he had some nice luggage on him. he came at a perfect slight quartering away shot, didnt even know i was there, had to be a max 15 yard shot, drew back and let an arrow fly, heard a good solid hit, he did a u turn and was hurting pretty back, he went about 40 yard and heard him whip out, I was excited! this was my first buck over 60" and first buck with a BOW! we got to looking for him with little specks of blood here and there. came up to a good size tree and he had whipped out but had got up, he ended up breaking two ribs and shaving half his hair off on the tree!! we ended up finding him only 10 yards from that tree! a total of 50 yards! this split brow tine buck ended up gross scoring a total of 116 2/8" with a missing brow tine(double he had broke off) Josh took really good care of us and can put you on some deer!!! congrats on the good looking deer, nice write up also

thank you he can put you on some deer weather a meat hunt or a nice bucks, this was a small on compared to what he has, but time was running out and i took what i could get
