I have a friend w a really large ranch in Devine I've shot at in the past. It's really good the only negative thing is he's in Argentina right now. I'd like to within the next 2 weeks drive south and pay for a day hunt. Anyone got any suggestions? I read at the second Devine exit there was a sign. I'd rather a contact person and phone number before I drive 5-6hrs. Prob 3 guys interested. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I would suggest driving over to the Eagle Lake area and hunting with Costal Prairie Outdoors. You will see and shoot birds.

On their website it says their day hunts are in Katy texas. Katy is just outside houston. I'm looking for somewhere south of San antonio

Thats correct. I live in San Antonio and drive over there and hunt because the hunting has always been exceptionally better. There is more water over there and it is worth the drive. It is a two hour drive from SA to the areas they hunt. It was just a suggestion. Good luck on your hunting season no matter where you hunt. I think some outfitters were advertising on Craigs List with hunts available in the SA area. You might want to look there as well.

Crazy... huh yeah my buddy w the place in Devine says it's been slow in San Antonio too. May have to check em out. I've always done good real good around Devine Jourdanton etc. Thanks for the suggestion. My parents live near houston so I may give that a try.
