Does anybody know if the C9 canine athlete vitamins are worth their salt or if there's something else that's good? My pup is going to have a busy season and I want to make sure he stays in good health

I don't know about those products. I use Zoom Dog supplements (Daily Dog & Hunt Dog Hunt). They work great!

I've never used any. I think Purina put everything in there that they need. It's like the old ad says. Just add love and water. I feed mine dry.

My dogs do get treats a couple of times each day.

I used to feed him Purina but he had intestinal problems. Switched to grain free and that was the cure all, but the protein level is only 26%. I would go back to Purina if his stomach could handle it. He'll be hunting 3+ days a week so I at least want his protein intake to increase. Figured all the other added vitamins and whatnot in some of those other products couldn't hurt either

How many days a week are you going to be hunting the dog and how old is the dog? If every day of the week, then you might need to give him a boost, if not then I would not bother. I would stick with the 26% protein as 30% may be more than you need for a yearling dog.
The fat content is what gives the dog energy and may be more important to a dog that is almost mature or mature. I think that too big a deal is made of corn or other grains. The only time this should create a problem is when a dog is allergic to grain and I must say that in over 50 years, I have not owned a hound or pointer that had problem with grain. Maybe I have been lucky but what the heck do I know???
