Yes...I use them in a tight choke and you can put a denser pattern at longer distances. 25% extra the pellets than a standard load and if I'm not mistaken more pellets than a 12ga winchester heavy dove load. It is an old school load. Winchester and Remington used to make them then dropped the shell about the time there was a push for non-tax loads in waterfowl shells. I believe they caught grief over the amount of lead the shells were throwing into the environment. Fiocchi is the only one that makes them now. I remember making some long rang shots with them in my A5 Magnum 20 as a kid.

Shooting is shooting no matter what it is you are shooting. With that being said, I will add my .2 cents. Just because there are 25% more pellets in the shell, does not automatically mean 25% more dense pattern downrange.
There is a lot of science in shot column length vs width. To boil the scientific termonology into redneck, it simply means 10 pounds of cow doo doo in a 5 pound bag. Sometimes more turns out to being too much. I hope not in your case. I hope you beat the doves silly with that load combo.

Exactly...It all boils down to shooting. I'm really just excited to use my old 20 gauge magnums. Shooting is shooting no matter what it is you are shooting. With that being said, I will add my .2 cents. Just because there are 25% more pellets in the shell, does not automatically mean 25% more dense pattern downrange.

Yup. I don't shoot more than 1 oz shells in 12ga for dove either. Rio 20ga about 5.50 box when you can find them. 1.25 is a bit overload- must be younger than me 😀

1.25oz of 7.5s is serious dub med-sin. I use that with a 12ga and skeet choke. It kills dubs further than I can and it's a pretty good combo even at 45 or so yards. Out of a 20ga that could be entertaining.
Thought for the day: Ducks were almost hunted to extinction long before camo was invented.

Well I had a good day with it...birds are still thick out west by the way! Went the day after the front and it was fast action. But I should have patterned it before I took it out. My old school gun is a beretta A301 magnum and the 3" chambered barrel is a 28" fixed full choke. Every bird I killed was on my follow up shot after they were further away. Couldn't hit a short bird to save my life but Hit a few high flyer sthat I had no business shooting at. Also tried some winchester high brass 1oz 7.5 and that one will take em for a spin. Over all it was a fun day. I'll definitely say that my choked up 20 with the right load will spin birds with authority way past my 12 gauges effective range....but I missed all the gimme shots my 12 would have bagged.
