Anyone else get drawn? This is my first draw since moving here from Nebraska in 2007. Richland Creek looks very promising. After a lot of research I'm up in arms about what to take and where to stay, etc. I think I'll take both my rifle and bow along with my ground blind and climber. I'm planning on just camping out primitive style and wondered if any other folks plan on doing the same or know of cheap alternatives to pitching a tent. Only 5 weeks away!

Fishermans point is a good place. I live down the road from there. They also have cabins and a restaurant there.

I would leave the bow at home. Set up ur climber where roads intersect and wait for a buck to be scouting for does. Them rut should be on by that time. I screwed up hunting there thinking I could scout it. U can't. It's a thick jungle and trails are hard to find. Just get still and see what you see. They have a small camp area u can use. Not bad. Fishermans point would be my choice if the weather forecast looked the least bit bad. You really need a 4 wheeler if you can get it. That's an awesome place. Good luck

I agree. For 30 years my family owned a meat plant down the road from there and I always saw some real nice deer come from that area!!! Have a good hunt!!!
