This is my first season sitting in a tree blind. No deer this morning, but did get swarmed by turkeys.

Any best practices for using tree blinds?

Try not to move much. Almost always when you do, it will be at the wrong damn time grin

All your movements slow

Trim those trees a little more so you can see the field.

I disagree on more trimming. You have good shooting lanes. The more you trim the more exposed you are. I prefer hunting out of a tree other any other method. Also - do NOT get in a tree without a safety harness. No one who ever fell out of a tree planned to do that.

Good luck!

If you were able to remain undetected from a group of turkey, you're on the right track with you blind.

Don't trim your shooting lane is great. Will give you less time to freak out if the buck of your life steps out. I have hunted trees for 20 years I really need to invest in the harnes or build one. I had a stand way up in a giant oak when I was about 15 that had 20 penny nails for a ladder and two pieces of 2x6 for a chair and a back and a 2x4 for a gun rest(bow now) it's a miracle I made it lol. You should be in great position with no changes.

I grew up really learning how to scout trails and never used feeders. Here is my current perch I wish I knew how many deer I have had inside 15 yards at broad side in that narrow lane the last day and a half. The more cover the better.

Have more than one stand for different winds...if they get downwind they'll be gone. I agree to not trim more. If possible I would rather be just inside the woods with more cover in front and behind you verses on the field edge while bowhunting. Rifle season I'd rather be on the outside edge to see more area. Also hand throw some corn in the area your hunting. Mature deer usually prefer this verses a feeder. What county are you hunting?

Your setup looks fine.
Don't hunt it if the wind is wrong.
I would suggest moving your game camera to the t-post on the fence line.
This will allow you check and change cards without getting to close to your feeder.
