FYI, Deer season is already open in Missouri and you can not hunt bait (feeders) in Missouri.

As far as deer around Table Rock Lake, not the biggest deer. The Southwest corner of Missouri has very little Ag and the deer size shows it. With that being said, if you let them grow long enough, most turn out to be good scoring deer. Let's put it this way, I have access to hunt several thousands of acres in SW Missouri and only about 2k acres in Northern Missouri. I hunt northern Missouri every year and haven't hunted the SW side since the early 90's.

Im headed to Humble, Missouri. I shot a descent 8 point last year. My dad has shot a couple nice deer. Plus its a fun weekend away! Opening rifle weekend up there is like a holiday weekend!

Several years back I hunted in Pike County, MO in the river bottom area and a few farms up in the hills. I must say that part of the state has some studs. Fortunately for me, I started hunting across the river in Pike County, IL after that for a few years. More deer there. One would think that there wouldnt be that many more deer there but there is. Now I have moved a littel further West to Kansas.

I wouldnt hesitate to hunt anywhere in MO at any time. I loved hunting there.

This will mark my 7th season deer hunting in MO. Blue tongue hit the state hard about 3 years ago, but the numbers are starting to increase, have seen many does with twins this year.

Pittstate, not sure where you are in SWMO, but there is a lot of ag where we hunt and very good sized deer. They are definitely larger to the north, but someone on our lease has dropped a buck just about every year that's over 250 on the hoof, with many more seen an killed by our neighbors.

Counting the days!!!

Been hunting a family friends farm in cross timbers just north of Preston. Hickory county. It's 2000 ac that he uses for intensive grazing so he hates deer. laugh I dislike that the cost for out of state license. I only hunt the rifle and late muzzle loader season. I love it up there.
