Don't think I have ever seen a fawn this young this late in the year!

Wow. That is a late fawn. We used to see some like that on our place when we were severely over populated.

If the dates right on your camera, that fawns a month or more behind schedule.

I have a couple like that for the last 3 years. I have noticed the doubles end up as singles fairly quick. The mama look on the young side as well, so probably came in waaay late.

Date is correct. She is probably 1/4 the size of the other fawns during that same time frame.

That one is little but it will be okay. Just behind. Probably born to a doe fawn that bred in Jan some time.

The drought messes up their cycles.

It's weird. I would never have thought that I'd see a 1 or 2 day old fawn at the end of August but a friend of mine had someone bring her one that they had found. Still had its umbilical cord.

Any pictures of it with momma?

I just had two coyotes kill one that size at my place. Found the dead fawn on my way into the stand, they must have just killed it and I probably spooked them off walking in. Saw both the yotes that night, a big female and a monster male. They were circling my feeder, I guess trying to get the wind right, I just never could get a shot at them with my bow.

Two years ago I took pictures of a fresh born still wet fawn on 8/28/12 in Duval Co. According to trail cam pics he wasn't the last born. Our first rut kicks off in mid to late December and last year as of February there were still bucks running does hard.

Yes I had tons of her with momma and probably 6 other Does and Fawns. I deleted them as I was going through the cards though and only saved a few of the better bucks and this fawn.
