I was told that I should look into offering Pheasant hunts for retriever owners. It was stated that a large amount of retriever owners like and want to hunt birds in the field as much as bird dog owners and quail.
Is this correct?
Thanks for the comments.

You are correct, I don't hunt with pointers anymore so the labs work well for me for tight holding pheasants in grass. We do a couple pen raised pheasant hunts to practice with our dogs before our pheasant hunts up north.
their are some great upland labs out there, and many labs enjoy that kind of hunting more than any other, and I enjoy watching them.

Love taking my labs on pheasant hunts as well as dove and quail. They don't point but do everything else well.
Don't talk the talk if you didn't walk the walk.

Thanks for the comments. I never could figure out why there aren't more game farms here in TX. What a great way to entertain clients. Instead of playing a round of golf, everyone does a driven hunt or tower shoot. Great Fun!! Angie

Heck Walter, why leave anyone out? What about the other flushing dogs? The spaniels. I promise you they can put a bird to flight with the best of the rest of them.
