I picked up an STX International STX 3000 last year. Did a great job, very pleased. Amazon is a great place to start your research too. There's a good variety and lots of reviews. In addtion to a grinder, be sure to pick up a food saver if you dont already have, and a scale. The grinder mentioned above allows me to make sausage links to, but an actual sausgae stuffer is something i will probably pick up at some point.
I started my own processing last year and absolutly love it. Not sure that i would ever take another anamial to a processor again.

I have one of the grinders cabelas sells, it is the 1.5 hp model and it has been awesome. Had it for about 10 years now and never had a problem. It grinds in excess of 20-30 deer a year, we use it and lend it to relatives.
You can do a search on the forum, this topic comes up often.

We use a #32 hand crank grinder, same one for about 40 years.

I have a LEM grinder that is 15 years old and has done at least 4 deer a year. The best advise I have is to be the best one you can afford. If you buy a good one it will last a lifetime.

i process about 10 or more deer a year. i have an old Porkert hand grinder and haven't found an electric grinder that can match it. if you want to speed things up, putting a drill to it will help speed things up, but a new guy on the hand crank and cold beer is hard to beat.
